Frequently Asked Question
Advanced permissions allow authorized users (space administrators) to configure permissions in space folders, by file, and by folder.
This feature is accessible via sharing here:
Permissions are configured by setting one or more “Read”, “Write”, “Create”, “Delete” or “Share” permissions to “Allow” or “Deny”.
Any authorization not explicitly defined will inherit the permissions of the parent folder (in this case the roles (reader, editor, ... ect) granted at the space level).
If multiple advanced permissions configured for a single file or folder apply to a single user (for example, when a user belongs to multiple groups), the “allow” permission will override any “deny” permission.
If a user has a role with limited access to the database, cannot be overridden by permissions "authorize" by advanced authorization rules. Example: People with the Reader role cannot become a writer using advanced permission rules. In this case, it is necessary to review the access rights of this person at the level of the space (Permissions in a collaborative space).
